The match was held in Blagoevgrad, where the hosts were the team of Blagoevgrad Griffins. The first meeting was in fact the hosts against the visiting team of the Sofia Bulldozers. The griffins surprised everyone by inflicting a crushing victory
In the second match, it was the turn of the Bears, for whom this was the first game after renovation and rejuvenation of the team. They started the match unconvincingly after a series of attacks without a score and at half-time the team was down 8 to 6. However, the great game of defense did not allow the opponent to score more points until the end of the game. It wasn't until the final quarter that the Bears took the lead with a bit of luck after catching a pass in one shuffle. Shortly after, the defense also scored making an interception in an attempt by the Bulldozers to turn things in their favor. So, although with a dose of luck, the Bears scored their first victory.
