The one that started on 07.02. The 2012 season for the Sofia Bears is shaping up to be one of the easiest so far. Our only team playing international matches with full equipment, on March 18th they will compete against the strong team of Mladenovac Forestlanders (Serbia). The match will be played on Bulgarian territory, and this will be the first home game of coach Nikolay Angelov's boys for the year. Later in the season, the Sofia Bears will return the visit of the Serbian team. It is noteworthy that this year a lot of attention was paid to the domestic American flag football championship, in which, in addition to the Bears, the Sofia Hawks, Sofia Warriors, Pleven Blades and the team of the American University in Bulgaria - Blagoevgrad Griffins will take part. Despite the easy start to the season, Sofia Bears' pre-season training is extremely tough with an emphasis on physical exercise and fitness, but recently the boys have also started ball training. From next week, the team will start training with full equipment, which provides a prerequisite for training to become a real show for the spectators attending the training process, as well as a real hell for the players.
