Sofia Bears vs Bucharest Rebels

On 12 October (Sunday) at 15:00 at the Old Akademik Stadium (behind the Hotel Pliska), the Sofia Bears will host the Bucharest Rebels in the first game of this year’s edition of the Balkan American Football League (BAFL – http://balkan-afl.org/)

The Sofia Bears have been training for this game for half a year now and will take the field with a quite different, rejuvenated squad. The team will certainly miss its long-serving captain – Aleksandar Kenanov, who is currently playing in the USA. Of course, all the remaining veterans will have to give their all for the team to start the league with a win.

The team from Bucharest and current champions of Romania – the Rebels – will certainly be playing to win. The Romanians have physically well-prepared and experienced players who this year will try to grab the Balkan league as well as the Romanian title.

The Bears need full concentration and commitment to win this game and, of course, above all the support of their loyal fans.
